I had a set of hid's as my low beams in my 03 Tahoe, and never had a problem. They worked great until one of the ballast blew out. Ordered a brand new set, no biggie, until I tried installing them. I removed the stock bulbs and plugged in the hid's--nothing! There was power coming out of the factory harness, so it should've worked. I tried both sides with both not working. I plugged the stock bulbs back in and they worked as they should've. Plugged hid's back in, nothing again. I got the old hid ballast and bulb setup(I knew that it definitely worked)nothing again! WTF?!? Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I plugged the stock bulbs in and they still work fine. Anyone else have this issue?

Yep. Last time I swapped ballasts in mine I had the same problem. Then I remembered I needed to reverse the polarity when plugging ballasts into our trucks. Don't remember why but give it a shot. The plug from vehicle to the ballasts should be able to go either way, but when polarity is reversed the little clip doesn't latch if I remember right.

Factory harness clips into ballast only one way. There's that clip you're talking about and I think there's also an inner notch, not sure about that tho. But why wouldn't my old ballast work now when it did before? I plugged it in the same exact way as it was before. I also scored two used setups that def worked, I tested them before they were removed, tried those also with the same results-- nothing.

There's 2 ways to reverse polarity- where the bulbs attach to the ballasts and where the ballasts attach to the vehicle wiring. So if you attached the ballast side the same way as before but reversed it at the bulbs, it's still not the same as you had it before. The vehicle side IS reversible- I just went and tried mine. One way the clip clips, the other way the clip and hook thing are on opposite sides. And that's when I remembered that I switched the wires at the bulbs on mine because my OCD didn't like those clips not connecting. Just try it and see but only reverse one or the other on each light. That's the only thing it can be if the fuses and ballasts and bulbs are good.

Damn! You were right red rocket! But to be honest I figured you were right.Switched the plug around like you said, it worked!WP_20160531_001.jpg WP_20160531_003.jpg
But now, the left side speakers don't work. Worked fine before. Ever hear of an issue like that? But when using the Bluetooth all speakers work.
