Lots of people say that Laura GMC near St Louis has the best prices on Yukons. But I live in South Carolina, so it's a long drive out there!

Are there any east/southeast dealerships that offer similarly low pricing to Laura GMC?

Thanks!

Many places do it weather they advertise or not. I live in PA. My dad wanted a Harley F150 a few years back and a place in Maryland had no haggle prices that he was ready to pull the trigger on. Our local dealer wasn't close. I suggested he print out the MD dealer offer and bring it to our local guy and say "if you give me this price I'll buy right now otherwise I'm driving 2 hours for this one." Done deal locally. A no haggle price is typically invoice minus all rebates possible so many people don't even qualify for the no haggle. If you look at details it will include 500 law enforcement 500 military discount etc. and maybe even Costco for GM dealers. If you find a vehicle anywhere the only real expense compared to local is your travel and there is a small delay in your state transfers and taxes compared to in state but nothing crazy, I bought my Denali out of state because it was the only storm gray one I've ever seen for sale lol. It was a breeze.

The reason Laura is able to sell so much lower (I bought my truck from them) is that they are the 2nd largest volume dealer in the entire country. GM incentives them on the ridiculous amount of inventory they move which allows them to offer additional incentives to the buyer over what GM offers. The only other dealer I found that was close (still about $1,500 higher) was Al Serra but they are in Michigan which isn't going to help the OP from South Carolina.

As bizrjr suggested....... You may be well served to find the larger dealers in your area and see if they will attempt to meet Laura's price. Even if they get really close it's still a break even if you have to spend time/money on long distance travel to obtain the vehicle you want.

Luckily for me I live just west of Chicago, I bought a ticket for the Amtrak (which was around $30 dollars if my memory serves correct). The dealership sent a person to pick me up and I was in/out in just over 1 hour. For me it was just a long day (around 10-11 hours) and very little cost for me to get to Laura for my purchase. I saved around $2,500 more than any dealer around me was willing to do.

For $2500 in savings I would book that one way ticket to STL. Even with a flight, one night in a hotel and gas my guess is your total expenses would be $600 or so. That leftover $2K in your pocket buys a lot of stuff.

One thing I did notice is that the Laura prices aren't quite as good as they seem.

For example, the factory MSRP for the rear seat entertainment system is $2400 or so. Laura will install an aftermarket unit that costs them much less, and then say "Look, we saved you $2400 off MSRP!"

It's not a completely apples-to-apples comparison.

Also, they list Yukon SLE's with leather. But you can't get an SLE with leather from the factory. My guess is that they have an aftermarket supplier put leather in their SLE's.

All I know is the dealers around here are not doing $8K off a Denali (or more).

Without bonus cash, I'm sure close to Laura could be found. Still would need to find a larger volume dealer to get close to $8-9K off from Laura.
