On Monday for some reason my rim and caliper on the driver side was really hot to touch. The rotor did not blue or anything. It has not done it since for that matter. The rotors and pads are less than a year old. It never pulled or made a noise. What could have caused this the one time and not done it since

My brake hose on right front of my denali was clasping inside and causing it to lock up the caliper sometimes. I replaced the pins and bushings and caliper before I figured it out. If I were you, wait until it happens again. Because it will. When it does, crack the bleeder and if it has pressure, change the hose. If it doesnt, change the caliper and pins
