I've been looking for used Suburban 1500 LTZs with the 6.0L, and have noticed that 07-08 6.0s with the 4 speed are often several thousand cheaper than 09 6.0s with the 6 speed (both having the same miles).

Is the 6 speed that much better that it;s worth the extra expense?

Also, in my price range, most of the examples have 125-135k miles. Is the 6.0 a good engine that I can expect 100+k more out of? Thanks all.

07+ all have the 5.3L with the exception of 2009 which had a 6.2L option like the denalis and eskys. I have an 07 5.3L with 4speed and its great imo. As long as basic maintenance is done, you should easily get 200k out of it without any major issues
