2000 Tahoe Limited upgrades

Hey guys, been searching for some info on upgrades to do and have a few questions and am searching for some real world results on what works and what doesn't. Its my daily driver and I tow a light boat with it as well. So far only thing I have done is have black bear re-tune it. I hear about a new and improved spider (is it really worth it?), headers, and cold air intakes. Also a question I've been kicking around is once the factory motor needs to be retired, the ht383 would be a consideration, but what does that do to the mpg? I'm sure it will pull better and be much faster but don't wanna kill my fuel mileage. Thanks in advance

do the kn cai and cat-back with headers and have the tune redone. you will be most satisfied. changing to the 383 will use more gas because of volume of cylinders and ego but it won't kill you.

12.5 on a good day on the 2 door...but the 350 in my suburban I get 11

i had a 91 mustang LX years ago and i started with a 383 stroker it drank the gas lilke 10 to 12 mpg and that was nat aspirated

I have a 383 being built right now. Going into my 98 2door 4wd Tahoe. Should be ready in a couple of weeks. I'll start a new post with fuel economy results after I get it up and running. This is a pretty stock 2door with 285 size tires. 3.73 gears.
