My front differential is seeping a bit around the driver side axel. When I called the guy that works on our vehicles he said that sometimes the vent clogs up and can cause this to happen because the pressure causes the oil to go somewhere. With that being said, where exactly would I find this at and how would I go about checking it. Would be nice if it was a simple clog vs having to reseal the thing.

NM I found it. I blew air through it so apparently it isnt clogged. I guess the seal is just bad and actually have gotten worse.

Fairly simple job to replace the seal, and if it hasn't been leaking long you won't need much (if any) gear oil to refill

all these front 8.25 IFS seem to leak upfront...do you have any noise while cruising coming from the front?

my seal is slightly leaking as well and a little whine when im cruising in higher gears...usually carrier bearings need to be replaced.

I had no whine at all. I did a while back but that was due to the front hubs needing to be replaced. I had the seal fixed a week or so ago. The guy that did it said the seal was pretty hard. Shes all good again.
