Strange noise coming from the back of the vehicle

Alright, so i have this strange noise being emitted from the back of my denali and it sound like a motor clicking( or attempting to anyways ). I can hear the sound when the key is inserted in the ignition. My rear window wiper and rear windshield fluid squirt-er do not work. Any suggestions? Has anyone had a problem like this before?

I had a similar issue, but it was very random and it drove me crazy. Turned out to be the rear ac compressor. Apparently it has a little door that opens when its being used or something like that. When it shorts out, the door will open and close making a clicking sound, or as i described it to my mechanic, a bicycle wheel with a playing card moving really slow. Hope this helps.

Get in the back seat and listen to see if it's the little plastic cover above your head hat looks like a mic. It's the auto temp sensor for the rear Temp, the tiny motor inside it likes to wear out and click. Easy thing to check maybe that's it
