My 3 Ton Craftsman struggled with my Tahoe, I picked up a 4 Ton at Harbor Freight and it works effortlessly.

Must have been something wrong with it as I used my 3 Ton on two different 3/4 ton diesels with no problems.

My 3 ton is about 20 years old, lots of use... Maybe that's why it struggled.

I have an old AC Delco 3 ton "extended reach" from when I had my toyotas. Even at 3 ton it sucked due to the 24" pump handle.

I just bought a 2.5ton Strongway from NorthernTool. Dual piston, 4ft+ pump handle, low profile to fit under my VW. It's not a quick lift setup, but only takes 2 full pumps to contact the tahoes frame

Yeah my HF 3ton is a low profile too. I needed that for my old Envoy. But with that dual piston set up it gets to th lift points quickly. I paid about $180 for it about a year ago. Hopefully I will see some longevity out of this thing.
