Master switch does not roll down the driver window, but all of the others roll down after converting from DL8 to DL3

I just converted my 2007 Tahoe LT from DL8 to DL3. The mirrors work perfectly fine, except one, which needs to have the motor gear replaced.

With my new switch (taken from a Yukon Denali), all of the functions work except for rolling down my driver window. When I plug in my original switch, the window rolls up and down just fine, but it doesn't with the new switch. I tried with another DL3 switch, and I had the same issue. The new passenger side switch works just fine for the passenger window.

Does anyone know why this could happen?

Edit: I ended up getting a switch from a Silverado, and it all works now; mirrors fold in, and all of my windows roll down.

If the Denali driver side switch pack is new, never been used, it may be a programming issue. If it’s a preloved switch it may be dead on that switch.

The thing is when I tried a different switch from a GMC Acadia, the same issue persisted. They both were used switches

I wonder if this is where the programming comes into play. The switches, I believe, are 07-10 specific. If the Denali or Acadia had the later optioned express window down feature in the d/s window that could be why it’s not communicating.

Gotcha are you thinking I may have to get it programmed for it to communicat?

If the orig switch works and the Denali doesn’t, it’s just one of two things. The programing or both the Denali & Acadia switches are faulty.

Good work so far. You’ve got enough to call a Chevy dealer and not have them freak out when you show & tell and ask for a quick TECH2 program.

Thanks for your help, do you know how much that usually runs?

I was about so say I got some extra window switches for those mirrors I could’ve threw in with em! But yea it sounds like you need a tech to to program them Chevy should be able to do it or any shop with a texh2

The dealer has the ability to program modules, which the tech2 itself can not do. Since you’ve diagnosed it so completely and they can duplicate your results I guess they’d get you for an hour labor or a handshake, 40-$80 and a few burgers.
