I got a question? Wanna see what you guys think. My 07 XL came with OEM 20" rims and the spare is 17" I put after market 24"s on her, so my question is... If I get a flat my spare is 6" smaller than the rims I have on now. Will or how far can I go before the smaller spare starts to tare up gears? Should I take a stock tire and rim and replace the spare with that? Or try and get a 24" spare? Will a 20" spare do less damage than a 17" spare? Also the lugs for the rims on now dont fit stock, so I'll have to pack extra nuts too. Any thought? The Nali is 6.2 AWD. Any info is appreciated.

Rim size is irrelevant... it is the overall height of the tire that matters.

Go here...
https://tiresize.com/calculator/

Click on tire comparison and plug in the tire specs from the 24s and the spare to see the difference in overall height/diameter.

Ok! Try and get as close to the tire size on the truck now but you guys know off hand the minimum size of any size tire before you start to damage gears, axles? I mean like if it measures 31.2 don't go below 26.8 or things will be damaged? Thats an example. These are the numbers for the 20" the 17"were way off.Screenshot_2018-06-24-20-23-02.png

The AWD system doesn't like even one tire not being like the others, if memory serves it is not good to even replace them in pairs but rather all four. Get something as close as possible so you can get out of harm's way and get a plug kit and a compressor with fix a flat goo too.
