What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I got a good deal on the leather a few years ago and it's been in my spare bedroom ever since. They sell for $1,100 a hide. So now I have a set of Escalade seats in my Tahoe that have $3,000 into them LOL that's just crazy to truck not even work this much but I plan on keeping it because it's always been a good vehicle. Now I have to change the color on all of the plastic panels which is going to be a pain in the ass. But when it's done I think it's all going to be worth it I'll post a few photos of how the seats look right now and a few more as I get further on it. Feel free to chime in with any options or opinions a second word never hurts. Let me know what you think of the seats. I think the guy killed it, there's really no wrinkles at any of the seams or none of that they came out really nice and he put heavy duty foam up underneath the leather because I'm not have your guy. He also wrapped the plastic trim panels underneath the power seat switches which I thought he painted it the same color as the seats at first it looks so good. And he also made covers for the headrests and armrests which he said was a complete pain in his ass because the factory ones are foam injected but they came out nice. I had them put black carpet on the bottom sides and back side of the captain seats so and they flipped down they will match my carpet. I had him delete the pocket that goes behind the front two seats because they always end up stretched out cramming stuff in there like large cups or Gatorade bottles and then they get stretched out and saggy. The next thing on my agenda is to remove the Chevy dash top and install the Cadillac one. I was thinking about painting it black but he mentioned wrapping it in leather as well

Came out really good. What color do you want to paint the plastic panels? What about the door panels?

You can send a piece of your leather into all of these manufacturers and they can match the leather for you and then you can just take it to an upholstery shop and have a new cover built. Yeah it might cost a little bit more because you got to buy probably half of a hide but you will be getting a quality product that way.

Those seats are sweet. As far as The Seat Shop, I put out a warning in my 02 build thread awhile back on them as well as Richmond Auto Upholstery after I had an issue with a Richmond bottom that failed after a year or so. It had vinyl in the middle portion and they told me it was stated when I bought them that they could no longer get that color of leather and switched to vinyl. I don't recall ever seeing that. They sent me both bottoms again for free but first said I could have a new product called ultra leather which is also not leather or send my passenger one in and they'd replace the panels in it with leather and make the new driver side with leather but it wouldn't be an exact match. Plus I'd have to go without a passenger cover while they fixed it, so I went with the "ultra" fake leather. They also warned me at the time that they were made aware that The Seat Shop was buying product from China and it wasn't leather either. The Seat Shop had attacked Richmond in some videos comparing their products but Richmond said TSS was lying. Anyway that was long-winded but it shows you need to be aware and read the fine print/ ask questions. There were 2 small panels in my original bottoms in the darker color that were leather so I guess that allowed them to call them a leather product. BTW the factory covers are only leather in the "wear" areas, the rest are vinyl.

What do you use to paint the panel? Last time my friend did that it came out bad and started peeling. Yours looks legit.

Yep, tell folks that have the NNBS with the classic cracked dash issues that a local upholstery shop could repair and recover in leather for less than a new dash or even better priced in vinyl

Are you talking about the panel what are the switches are for seat adjustments? I'm not sure what he used. Something that they sell at the supply house. I'm thinking about pulling it back off and change it to like a satin or semi-gloss

Thank you, I'm going to do all the panels in Black and that same color as the leather. I just sent Douglas leather a email asking them if they had a paint code for it or a name even LOL the tag I have just says henna and that isn't a name of a color I can just pick up at one of these local stores and fortunately. So I'm hoping it's got a different name that I can haha and they just called that too make it look even fancier. Maybe I'll get lucky and somebody will see this and they know what color it is . If not my cousin is a painter in owns his own mobile paint business and he told me he could make any color needs to
