When we got the steering back in the lines hit, we ignored it at the time because that’s when we worked through the whole AC delco verses Moog pitman arms not seating correctly and all the steering came back out. It was a couple weeks for parts and since I was driving back and forth to work on it. Before we even put the steering back in I started on the sub frames and I was laying under the truck exhausted at 1am after finishing the sub-frames and looked up and saw some random lines not in the clips. So I pushed them into the clips without even thinking about it.

I used fuel line clamps.
If the line doesn't have a flair, at least double down with clamps, 2 at each location. And try to get the lines back into the clips. If he routed them wrong, I'd take it back and make him install new lines, on him. That's on the installer. Tell him either that or he's gonna end up owing you a new tranny.

I'm def letting him know, but I gotta keep him on my good side. I know I'm gonna need him again. Like I tell my kids--Never burn bridges.

Installed the drivers side front seat and the driver side Captain seat back into my 02 Tahoe after having them recovered. I bought the seats out of I believe a 04 Escalade and put them in my truck which is an O2. After that I changed my mind on what I wanted to do with it and installed a black carpet kit then LOL pull the seats back out of it and took him to an upholster here in Arizona along with my Douglas leather hides which are the peanut butter color. I was saving the hides for another truck on building but for some reason wanted to put that color in this one so I went ahead and pulled the trigger and got it done. Hides our aircraft quality leather fire retardant and you would not believe how soft they are it's crazy. I got a good deal on the leather a few years ago and it's been in my spare bedroom ever since. They sell for $1,100 a hide. So now I have a set of Escalade seats in my Tahoe that have $3,000 into them LOL that's just crazy to truck not even work this much but I plan on keeping it because it's always been a good vehicle. Now I have to change the color on all of the plastic panels which is going to be a pain in the ass. But when it's done I think it's all going to be worth it I'll post a few photos of how the seats look right now and a few more as I get further on it. Feel free to chime in with any options or opinions a second word never hurts. Let me know what you think of the seats. I think the guy killed it, there's really no wrinkles at any of the seams or none of that they came out really nice and he put heavy duty foam up underneath the leather because I'm not have your guy. He also wrapped the plastic trim panels underneath the power seat switches which I thought he painted it the same color as the seats at first it looks so good. And he also made covers for the headrests and armrests which he said was a complete pain in his ass because the factory ones are foam injected but they came out nice. I had them put black carpet on the bottom sides and back side of the captain seats so and they flipped down they will match my carpet. I had him delete the pocket that goes behind the front two seats because they always end up stretched out cramming stuff in there like large cups or Gatorade bottles and then they get stretched out and saggy. The next thing on my agenda is to remove the Chevy dash top and install the Cadillac one. I was thinking about painting it black but he mentioned wrapping it in leather as well

I see why not very many people do custom interior upgrades, it's so dang expensive it's almost not worth it. I can't believe I'm going to have over 3 Grand just in four seats. The labor isn't all that bad. These places like the seat shop are charging 200 + on just one cover. You can have one built at in interior place for cheaper than that if you call around, I had just purchased a driver side bottom cover from the seat shop along with their big foam and never even got to drive on it. He said that the quality of that cover was garbage even though it looked good it probably would not have lasted me 6 months before it was ripping and blown out again. He said that they use a cheap vinyl on it not even real leather. I haven't seen it for myself yet but he said when I go back over there to pick all that stuff up he will show me what he's talking about. Which I think is kind of weird seeing how they clean there's are the best seat covers and everybody else's are made out of garbage there's is real leather. Will be aware of that. If I had to do it over again and had a tear in the seat that needed to be replaced I would not buy one of their replacement covers. You can send a piece of your leather into all of these manufacturers and they can match the leather for you and then you can just take it to an upholstery shop and have a new cover built. Yeah it might cost a little bit more because you got to buy probably half of a hide but you will be getting a quality product that way.
