Hello everyone :)

I was pleasantly surprised by this loud bang and thud of the rear passenger window falling this afternoon.
No controls work so it looks like its time to replace the regulator/motor.

I'm wondering what brands you guys have gone with?
I was looking at an ACDelco but my local parts store said they're all the same. So I told him to order me a CARQUEST. Never had any experience with CARQUEST.

Thoughts, opinions, experience?

I'm all ears :)

Thanks

I have used whatever was aftermarket and available in the past and never had any problems, they are all made of pot metal and plastic oem or not. although I would digress there is probably some bottom of the barrel cheap stuff I would avoid. if it looks to cheap to be true it probably is junk.

I ended up writing to gm for a part #, they wrote back surprisingly quick.
They have one in stock for the same price as the aftermarket but I wont get it tomorrow.
I'll probably give the CARQUEST one a try since it'll be here tomorrow afternoon.

What makes them fail? I've only had one fail before and it was the motor, just stopped.
My window literally just dropped. Scared the sh*t outta me. I'm surprised it didn't break.

Im not trying to make you spend more money and I completely forgot about ya. I know I’ve read the aftermarket ones are noisy, dont fit well (line up) and fail fairly quickly...sorry bud

You forgot about me :(
I've actually read a few negative reviews myself. I'm going to get the carquest today and the gm one is in the mail.
I know the guys at advanced so returning isn't a problem. I have family conning into town tomorrow and need a working window. Might be more work in the long run but, it's an easy job.
