Hi folks. First time poster here.

In the process of replacing my fuel pump, I broke a vapor cannister connection.

I need to remove the other connectors to replace the broken cannister.

This cannister has connections i have no idea how to remove.

Any tips?

connector:

Thanks!

Thanks guys for taking the time to answer.

What about this smaller one? This is the one that broke.

Is it the same thing? I push and squeeze those little thin parts that stick out and then push it towards the tube and then pull it?

Or is this a different connector type than the bigger one?

Can someone explain the theory here? Is it a clip? Does it snap? Am I trying to unsnap something Normally when you push in on those tabs on the outside (the thin ones that go down and connect to the base) it pushes in and releases something, but these appear to be directly connected to the base, so I don't see how that is going to happen.

I don't want to push the wrong thing so hard that I break it.

Thanks again!!

yup. same deal. you see the lines, like a finger grip there on the round soft part, thats your give away to squeeze it there.

so pinch it and use some needle nose pliers to pull the busted part out.

The actual clips are 90* from the squeeze points. When you squeeze in, you'll see the ring changes shape and pull the tabs out.

I dream that @THE YETI finds it in his heart to send me all the brake upgrade and suspension parts on my list along with a hot girl to install them.
