Pretty specific request here...I have a short wheel base Yukon and normally have the rear seats folded down. When I have to use the third row it is usually unplanned (taking home extra kids from a sporting event). I am looking for a cargo liner that will protect the back seats when they are folded down, but a liner that could roll up and be stored behind the rear seats or in the rear storage compartment if we needed to use the rear seats for an unplanned event.
Something of decent quality.
Thanks for any recommendations folks may have.

I just picked up a liner from CanvasBack. Looks and fits great. Protects both the 3rd and 2nd row seats when down and works with the 3rd row up.
I’d check them out. They may be just what you need.

Looks nice! I checked out their website but can’t find the material/fabric used in the production. I assume it’s nylon of sorts? The reason I ask is to determine the likely hood of stuff sliding around in the back. I’m usually carrying sports equipment and a case of water at minimum around with me at all times. I can always add some non-skid strips but can you guys shed some light on the material/fabric? Thanks for making the recommendation! I really appreciate it!

I am not sure of the fabric. It's woven, kind of like codura/backpack material. I packed a large tuff box today and it didn't slide around. Packed a case of dasani water yesterday and didn't notice any noise. They are extremely well made and fit well.

You can also add an envelope style net to hold your water bottles and such in place. Put one in mine, GM offered as an accessory.

PN# 19153964 and it comes with mounts to install in your side panels.

I just ordered a canvas back as well. I originally got a Husky Liner for the cargo area but all too often I'm caught needing to use the third row and not being able to because I have the liner back there and it doesn't fold well at all. I'm then left with a choice of leaving the cargo liner out but wanting it to be protected or having it in there and not being able to use the 3rd when needed.

Canvas back looks to be the perfect solution and from the photos a pretty good looking one at that.

This is why the regular Suburbans and Yukon XLs are so perfect and have been since 1935! Seeing the back of Travis' Tahoe reminds me of the scene in the movie "Heat", where DeNiro's character open's his trunk to put Waingro in it:

I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee prior to the current '16 SWB Yukon. One thing I miss from my '03 LWB Yukon is the cargo liner I had. Not a fan of the canvas back line - checked on out - too slippery for me. I'm 5'4" and don't want to be crawling into the rear to dig out a case of water. I want my groceries, cases of water, etc. to stay put when I put them in the back.

I am currently using the Mopar cargo liner from my Cherokee; doesn't fit perfectly but it is black on a black interior so doesn't stick out terribly that it's not a true fit. It is a flexible molded rubber so I can either roll it up when not in use or simply raise the rear seat with it. It is grippy so nothing slides around and has deep grooves to catch dirt, sand, liquids. Shame on GM for not having such a liner. Used to have a WeatherTech cargo liner in my '03 but not a fan of the Husky or WeatherTech currently out there.

Interior mats - didn't spend this much to have plastic mats in my interior and yes, I deal with snow here in CT. Had Lloyd Luxe mats in the '03, Lund Catch-It Carpet in the Jeep and still debating on which of those two for the '16 - would never put Husky or WeatherTech in for front mats - hate the look, hate the plastic/vinyl.

Lund has a beauty of a cargo mat in the Cargo Logic that is split for raising just one rear seat - wish they would make that mat for the Yukon/Tahoe, I'd be all over that.
