My driver side mirror has a mind of its own on my 15 Denali. I originally had the passenger side have the "curb view" enabled and nothing on the driver side. The driver side always seemed to move on its own. Half the time I go an look and its aimed at the ground. Other times its slightly higher than it should be.

My debugging attempts have been to the save my presets to #1. I've probably overwritten it 5-10 times already.

It would still go to random views. I disabled the the curb view for both sides. It still changes.

Any suggestions on how to correct this?

Has anyone experienced anything like this? Would it be the mirror that's bad? A controller?

It occurs after I unlock the door, the mirror moves on it's own. It was aiming slightly higher for a few months. Now it's pointing all the way to the floor. I've recently changed the memory settings. I use the same key fob.

If you don't share the vehicle with anyone, try storing your settings in #1 and #2 and see if it still moves.

My wife has a key, but she's not in the car often with it. This happens when I'm alone in the car.

The Memory #2 is a completely different seat setting. The seat doesn't move at all, it's just the mirror.

If I don't lock the car, the mirror stays fine when I get back in.
If I lock the car, the mirror goes to floor when I hit the unlock button on the key fob.

Seems like it needs to be reset or updated or reprogrammed. Unless you have the MDI with GDS2 software, it's a job for the dealership. Still under warranty?

I had the same issue with mine when I would unlock it with the key FOB. Both of my mirrors would go nuts and peg out to the point the gears would max out and start clicking really loud. I thought I would eventually have to replace the mirrors.

I read somewhere that if you unplugged the mirrors from the main mirror control switch (on the driver side door panel) and plugged them back in, it would "reset" them. I did just that and haven't had an issue since! Mine is a 2003 Yukon XL 2500. Hope this works for you!

It's a 2015 just under 60k miles, I don't believe I'd have a warranty.

Good idea about resetting the mirrors at the switch. That's the number one rule in IT, power off, power on.

I was searching google and youtube how to remove the switch. Couldn't find anything, except for a post here

I'll try it when I replace the air filter. I'll let you know if it works.
