Hello all!

Lurker who bought a New 2016 Chevy Tahoe LTZ about 7 months ago and now has 7k miles. It has developed an interesting issue. I searched the forum but couldn't find anything really close to what i am seeing.

I have a rhythmic ticking behind the dash primarily when in motion. It is consist and never changes speed/rhythm and is present with/without AC/Radio etc on. When driving it ticks 95% of the time but when sitting still (doesn't matter if you are parked or still in drive) it will typically go quiet however sometimes will throw out a few ticks.

Video of issue:

I am curious if anyone has seen this or has any ideas or bulletins about this issue?

I have an appointment with the dealership in a week but I hate taking it in without an IDEA of what the issue is. I typically try to avoid the dealer and upon watching the video they want to tear apart the dash which I'm worried will lead to further squeaks and rattles.

Wow. That is very pronounced. Have to figure the dealership will be able to diagnose that pretty quickly. Haven't had anything similar on my '16. Wonder if it could be the ANC malfunctioning?

Wow i forgot i started a thread about this and never posted an update.

It turns out it was my dash-cam. It crapped out and would click when moving for some reason. Its kind of embarrassing but since it only happened when driving and was hidden behind the mirror out of my line of sight i was unable to diagnose by myself in motion. Same for the dealership and had scheduled for a second service appt to dig deeper. It wasn't until a friend was randomly driving and i just happened to lean forward and hear it. Unplugged and that was it.

Stupid i know.

I have an annoying ticking/hissing under acceleration. It will come and go but is there 95% of the time. It sounds like it’s coming from my left knee.
