Recently towed my yukon to dealership after car started knocking. Diagnosed as
CODE P0300 stored and misfires on CYL #6, #6 cyl is AFM lifters A lot of valve train noise on right side around #6 cyl. Suspect lifters Cost to repair 4000-5000. What should I do? I am disabled, thanks for nothing GMAC. PLEASE POST ANY INFO ON THIS

That's too much. You can get all new lifters, cam, valley cover, etc for less than 1000. If nothing else is damaged just buy a DOD delete kit.

Thanks for your advice. I am always a day late. Have been considering DOD kit, can you recommend one? Also do you know of any TSB's associated with this issue?

4-5k is an engine replacement not a top end repair. $2900 is a top end repair, replacing all lifters and VLOM and associated parts and fluids at dealership prices.

Where do you live?

Texas speed or Brian tooley racing.
Maybe TSB 10-06-01-007D
