Tonight, I noticed that my turn signal on mirror along with the front turn signal were not working. After I got home, I noticed that my interior light wasn't working. After finding a blown fuse in the courtesy lamp slot, I changed it. The interior lights came on but it popped the fuse as soon as I turned on the turn signals. Anybody ever have this problem? Sounds like a short to me.

I assume your mirrors have the puddle/courtesy lights in the bottom of them so I would start by checking the wiring in the mirror.

Just to update: I worked on this a little today with intention of isolating the problem using a box of fuses and trial and error sacrificing the fuses (of course). First, I tried to determine if the turn signal switch could have been bad by using the hazard lights without the turn signal. It blew a fuse. Second, I removed the bulb in the front signal. It blew a fuse. Next, I removed the door panel and unhooked everything in order to take the mirror signal out of the equation. It didn't blow the fuse. Then I hooked each thing up one at a time. It never blew the fuse. I put the door panel on and checked it again. Still didn't blow it. I assume that I have a short in on of the wires and I moved it enough to correct the problem. It is common on Silverados to have a kinked wire in the door but I didn't see any wires that looked pinched or rubbed. I guess, I won't worry about it unless it happens again and then I will go through the door wires and find the problem. The positive is that, its easier to find a short in the door than the whole vehicle. I'll update in the future with any future problems or solutions.

This is a solution to the door wiring issue in the Silverado. I'm not sure how much different the wiring is than on a Yukon. The black plug show appears to be the plug on the main harness feeding the door and mirror. It plugs into the power switch panel which houses the power window, door locks and heated seat switches.

So, this problem came back and I have worked on it all weekend using a tester. The door isn't the problem. I unplugged the entire door harness and it still popped the fuse. I also pulled the right front turn signal and it still blows the fuse. The funny thing is, I have a ground on all four connectors of in that plug, but when I take out the right front turn signal bulb, I only have three grounds. I also have a ground on one side of the CRTSY fuse which, now I think was because I had the doors opened and the circuit would be grounded. I'm really thinking that I could have BCM problem, but I don't know. I'm going to call a friend of mine and talk to him about it. He told me once that he had a computer that could read codes from the BCM.
