But as a detailer, I know buffing as something different than polishing. Which is what the machine does, polish.... not buff... hahaha.
Understandable because you are a detailer but what @swathdiver is saying is, before they used to say polishing we, as a generation, when speaking about washing, waxing and cleaning your cars, would say this (insert vehicle here) needs to be buffed out and would call a ‘polishing machine’ a buffer...as a matter of fact, a D/A sander (‘polishing machine’) was only used for body work until someone decided it would be good for ‘buffing’ or ‘polishing’ a vehicle...

Its like the girls in cosmetology, they get their panties in a bunch when you say “color” your hair, its technically “dye” lol
