Hi all. I just put in a cold air intake kit from Spectre in my 02 Tahoe. Everything went fine but I'm a bit concerned because it required you to remove all existing air boxes tubes etc, and now I can see straight down to the ground beneath the air filter. Is there any chance I might hit a good puddle and suck up water? If I get the chance I'll take a picture later. Anyone with this kit already without issue?

Any small amount of water splashing up would have to pretty much soak the filter and that's not gonna happen. Actually, a water mist in the area could actually help by cooling some of the hot air it's sucking in.

I have had that CAI on my yukon for about five years and have driven in very heavy rain and hit standing water at speed with no problem at all.

Thanks. That's the feedback I'm looking for. I may cover the opening a bit just for insurance though.
