Blown head gasket/Cracked head/tired of mechanics

What does it mean then? Haven’t pulled the heads yet so don’t know. That’s the only cylinder it’s on.


If I remember correctly, the way the EGR system works, it dumps unevenly into the intake. Some ports get coated. Check the intake.

Found all this oil under the plenum. The large drop of oil being next to cylinder 2 and 4 injectors.

This little guy was stuck on the bottom of the head, possibly causing a leakC40FDF7B-9DFF-43E7-9EF2-E9B4FEBD3BE3.jpeg


And this white substance was on the block side of the intake, back toward cylinder 7.

I bet it's from water(coolant). Possibly from when aluminum gets oxidized. Block being rusty proves water was around. That's what happens instead of rust. Thoughts?

Air pocket.
I was going to say oxidation but not sure how that would happen. Any thoughts on the head pictures guys? I’m hoping the valve seals on Cylinder 4 are what’s causing them to be burnt and the low compression. Also, Cylinder 7 valves are slightly pink, also pink around all 4 plug tips on that side. Not a lot, but definitely noticeable.

Noticed that too, seems like the head gasket was blown there too. Well, what are you going to do? Get new heads or overhaul these? Do they still do 3 angle valve jobs?

How's the block (pistons, rings, crank and bearings) and intake?
