I see TRANSMISSION FLUID TEMPERATURE screen..

I want to know WHAT IS THE HIGHEST "SAFE" temperature reading on which we can drive the car?

WHAT IS THE MAX SAFE LIMIT for TRANSMISSION FLUID TEMPERATURE

Many factors here, including ambient temp, traffic, are you towing something, how long you drive at that temp etc..I think I remember seeing something that trans fluid starts breaking down over 220-230* (i could be wrong). Heat kills transmissions. A ‘normalish’ range for these trucks is 180-200 depending on if theres a towing pkg with an external trans cooler.
To answer your question i would not drive my truck for prolonged periods of time over 200-205* maybe 210 max. Others may tell you diff but thats me and my truck.

My 2015 Tahoe's trans temp ran 190-200 deg in cool weather and in the hottest California and Arizona desert's 110-120 deg summer days. Towing, the highest I saw the trans get was 206 deg f. I had the max tow package on that Tahoe. I notice my RST's trans runs quite a bit cooler. In 85 deg days last week, it was running about 165 deg f. I haven't towed with it yet.
