any idea how to fix this? had the heat on yesterday i went to turn it off just kept blowing. i figured mahybe a stuck button or something. the buttons to make it hot or cold still work, i felt the temps adjusting and the power of the blower going up and down as i pressed the switch. i park turn off the car and the air is still blowing. i open the hood and i can hear it on. i disconnect the battery it stops, reconnect it starts blowing again without the engine on. any ideas? what fuse can i take out to turn this off until i figure it out?

Wish I could help, but I have no idea, maybe look for an HVAC fuse and pull it, but obviously you wont have heat until you put it back in.

I had the same problem in my girlfriends olds aurora, After some research it turned out that the blower motor resistor was bad. At first the fan wouldn`t shut off even with the ignition off so i pulled the fuse. When i plugged it back in for some heat this fall i got nothing. changed the resistor and it fixed it.

Correction

Replace the blower motor control module if the vehicle experienced a blower motor control module failure in extremely cold ambient temperature conditions.

ya I would check the resistor, pretty easy to do just pull the cover off the passenger side under the glove box area and it's right there next to the slot for cabin air filter if you have one, takes a 7 or 8mm socket usually, the one bolt (under center console) is a little tricky to get to but you should be able to just remove the two easy ones and move it enough a replacement from dorman should be $20-30 online

anyone know the right parts number?

this is the type of interface i got...seems it depends on the type of control system the truck has for the replacement. 2004 chevy tahoe 5.3 LT

you should be able to go to the dorman website and put in all your info and it will give you the part number, then copy that part number into rockauto, ebay or amazon one of them is going to be cheaper. I sell some resistor kits on ebay but I probably don't have this one
