i just bought a 2006 Yukon XL Denali and I’m wondering if it’s lowered. What’s the average ground to fender height of a Yukon XL? I’m at 33-33.5 in the front and 34.5-35 in the rear. Seems low to me.

I went looking around on my build thread for my info. I don't remember what mine was before dropping it.
Before:downloadfile-6.jpg
After:downloadfile-7.jpg
Rear is 33" from ground to wheel well.
Front is now 32 1/2". I had to crank it up 1/2" the jounce stops were squashed.
You might have a drop. Did you look underneath? Any rear location brackets for the rear shocks? Springs look oem ? Does it have the stock spindles, if so how do the keys look? Factory?

I just finished doing a complete fluid service all around yesterday and It doesn’t have shock relocation brackets and the keys look stock but have flash rust on them so they might be aftermarket lowering keys. As far as the rear springs go I don’t know. The truck just seems low. Too low for me . I want to do a lift on it like I did my Tahoe. Lift keys and z71 coils in the back. Just wanted some other people’s view on if it was lowered because I don’t know what the stock height usually is. Now that I think about it the bump stops are alittle smashed so it much be lowered.

Hopefully other guys will chime in. It's supposed to have 17's on it, and it has 16's on it, so maybe that altered the look a little bit too.

They are about 1” smaller in diameter. The stock wheels are around 31.5” and its at 30.5 “ right now going by the tire size I looked at.

Go to GM Heritage website and download the pdf either for your year or closest to it. In there will be the original heights and the heights when it is time to replace the springs.
