As far as I know, if you get the 6.2, you have to get the mrc... which I hate...
I’m still trying to see if the 18 mrc software can be programmed to the older trucks.
Will the new 6.2 have the an option for that supercharger?

I looked at the RST with the 6.2 as I thought it might be better than what I have..
I don't think so!! My 2009 Tahoe LTZ with the 6.2 will be quicker & faster than the new one with the tune and handling mods PLUS mine is paid for and the new RST with all the Bells & Whistles is closer to $75K..
So in my old & demented logic, I figured I saved so much money that I ordered a new 2018 Tahoe LS Custom Edition, 2WD w/ Max Towing Package for my birthday 12/18.. Being built right now.. This will be my DD with the PU when I need to haul trash & stuff..

This has to be a move to battle the new, much more powerful, expedition (and the explorer which is being fully redesigned for 2019). I understand why they do this but its frustrating for those who wanted a tahoe with some balls earlier on. Better late than never I suppose.

It is a new Package for 2018.. actually it is sort of the commercial Tahoe..
Basically, it does not have the 3rd seat, only black cloth interior, painted aluminum wheels, different grille and a few other things which all contribute to a lower price..
Mine has the Driver Alert Package; Custom Edition Package; Max Towing Package; 40/20/40 Front Seat Option & Wheel Locks. However it still comes with all the electronics such as the 8" Screen etc..
This reduces the base price by about $4,000.00 so it makes it much less expensive and gives you more room behind the 2nd row..
Go to the Chevy website and take a look at the LS with the Custom Edition package..

Wish the wheels were available on the Suburban. Perhaps bundle the grill and wheels as part of an appearance package like other OEMs do for some of their vehicle offerings.
