Prices Paid

I just paid 50k for a 2015 Yukon XL SLT 4x4 with 17k miles. I know it’s not new but it may as well be.

what options does it have in addition to the standard slt pkg?

I've seen some dealers offering new 2018 SLT XLs in the $57k range with additional options to boot.

2017 Yukon SLT, as close to Denali without the badge. MSRP $64k paid 54K.

Currently 15.1% off MSRP on a 2017 Tahoe LT. I've seen higher but those tend to be on the Premiers. Is this good enough?

Looking at xl Denali 17 or 18 the discounts are significant between the two years currently...are the 18’s that much better than the 17’s with the 10 speed transmission?

I personally would prefer a 2018, just to give GM more opportunity to have gotten past the buffeting, booming, and vibration issue, though it seems to still be a problem with SOME 2018’s. But I would assume their quality has gone up incrementally between the 2017 and 2018 models. There may (just may, as I have no evidence) be other quality improvements GM quietly made like strengthening the glue they use in the roof liner, maybe a better torque converter, who knows, maybe nothing.

However I would prefer a 10 speed transmission on the 2018 and would pay more just for that, but I think most people would not.

But I will point out that according to TFL most people would not notice much difference between a 2017 and the 2018.

I think it’s more of what you’re comfortable with. Are you really looking for a 5.3/6.2 or the new 10 speed? I’m not assuming anything here.... but if going to be truck-poor, I want to at least be happy doing it

Agreed. I'm good with the 5.3. Just trying to determine how much wiggle room is realistic on the 17's.
