How many here actually do as recommended and spray or rub on a silicone lubricant for the rubber door seals? Another thread about suspension parts and salty roads made me think of this. I used to live in K.C., Mo. where they used salt on the roads and now in the PNW but every 6 months I have always lubed those seals. Be honest with your answers please.

I wonder if this will help with the weatherstripping when opening the door

For example We had heavy rain the other day and then the next day was very cold so the rain froze to the car and next time I came to open my door it felt like the weather stripping was coming off with the door

Not sure how this works in colder temperatures but I always use CRC products, specially for marine use down here in South Florida. I always have CRC Silcone (https://www.walmart.com/ip/CRC-Marine-Silicone-Lubricant-12-Oz-06077/34052711) and CRC 6-56 lubricant (https://www.walmart.com/ip/CRC-Industries-06007-6-56-Multi-Purpose-Marine-Lubricant-11oz/52498308) which I use in engine compartment.

I do about once a year, if I remember. I have bottle with a dauber on it specifically for car door seals.

It does in fact help with the freezing closed. Not totally eliminated, but a definite difference.

I do but they're due for replacement up front because of people dragging their feet across them, previous owners of course!

Happy Thanksgiving!
