Is this a joke? NNBS Esky’s.

So I was looking at some nnbs esky’s online, just browsing the features of each model including the ext and all trim packages.

I noticed the luxury trim does not have a heated steering wheel.

The premium trim has a heated steering wheel but not the power fold captains chairs.

The platinum trim has all kinds of things but does not match an ext at all because they don’t have the platinum trim for the ext’s.

They all have heated and cooled seats but only in the front, the rears are still just heated.

Is it just me or is the Denali better? No cooled seats but to sacrifice the heated steering wheel and power fold captains chair for cooled seats doesn’t seem worth it me. Maybe depends on if your from where it gets cold or not and the power fold captains chairs are a must have if your buying a luxury suv.

Of course the platinum is the best of the best and better than the Denali, but Id be buying an ext also and would want everything to match exactly or my OCD would drive me nuts, so a platinum is out of the question, it has way too much and leaves the ext in the dust.

Also looks like some have power tilt on the steering wheel.

Guess I should also add this is coming from the point of view of someone who already has a NNBS Yukon Denali.

Seems like they're taking Apple's approach to their features- Leaving some out so you're forced to buy the next level up if you want a particular feature, but you'll always be sacrificing something. This way, the more appointed trim levels don't totally take away from the lesser-appointed trim levels and vice versa. They all help sell each other. You know GM engineers and bean counters spent many hours studying sales data and drawing up charts and developing an algorithm for how they build these things.

Cadillac has let me down on this, I don’t think I will be going that way, and I have always loved caddy’s ever since I had a 2000 seville.

Guess all that depends on the years you are looking at.

My wife had a 2007 Escalade and that had all the features you listed: heated/cooled seats (front only and I don’t think they were even available for the middle captains in 07), heated steering wheel, power folding middle captains (would’ve been much more usable feature if they would also fold back up from the switch, IMO).

Out of those the only thing I’ve ever missed in the Tahoes she’s hade since the Escalade are the cooled seats. The 2010 she just bought unfortunately doesn’t have them (does have heat, though) and the 07 Tahoe didn’t even have the option.

I believe it does have something to do with the years, seems most 07’s have the features, maybe even 08’s, think it was something they started doing from 09+, which is convenient since those are the ones without open airbag recalls. Seems like they set all this stuff perfect to effect resale...
