I got it from @ScottyBoy he finds them at junkyards cleans them up, puts new loom on and sells them, they look brand new when he's done, and it's close to the same price as the aftermarket harness

Thanks @95escahoe. I'll reach out to Scottyboy. Hard to argue with him not having a failure in 6-7 years..

Well it's obvious now what's wrong with the aftermarket harnesses. That gauge wiring is a whole lot bigger for the power wire and from the fans. I'm sure the smaller wire is building up resistance which leads to heat..ugh..where did u get that harness? It looks new.

I get those OEM harnesses when I come across a 05-06 truck in the junkyard that hasn't been picked clean yet. I pull the harness apart from the core support harness in the truck that it's wired into and make it into a standalone harness. I remove the relays and fuses and COMPLETELY clean and scrub the entire thing until it looks new. Then I rewrap everything in New wire loom, and I put new silicone Dielectric grease on the fan plug connectors. It's like a new harness when I'm done with it. I sell them on here and several other truck forums. As soon as I get another one, I'll post it up for sale.

Working on the valve seals as I type this... these little clips are a pain in the ass to get back in
Oh yeah. You should try them when you're installing dual springs if you think it's hard with single springs. It's super hard to get the springs centered and compressed enough. I only dropped one and was able to retrieve it with a telescoping magnet. Put a dab of grease on each clip before you put it on. It will help it stay in place.

Yea thank god I'm not doing that. I don't have any grease and my wife's car is getting a new windshield right now. But I'm slowly chipping away at it. I might only get 1 side of the engine done but I'm also painting the valve covers wrinkle black

I love crinkle paint, I did mine in red. And my transfer case in black when I had it out. But if you can get some grease on those keepers you'll see how good it works. Good job.

Lol I have 1 cylinder down. I'm not gonna do this 7 more times. Not today at least. I wish I knew which (if any) are leaking
