I need some help,I'm changing to 17" ppv wheels and can't decide on what tire.Truck is lowered 3"/4"..I'm wanting to run 285/60/17 but idk if they'll rub.Next choices are 265/65/17 which is a little taller and narrower.Next is 275/60/17 which is pretty much same height as 16's but almost 1in wider.what do you guys think?

The 275-60-17 is about 1.6" shorter than the 265-70-17 that came standard on the GMT900s. The 265s you mentioned are about an inch shorter. A 275-70-17 is about 1/2 inch taller and within about 9 revs per mile compared to the 265-70-17. Should give you that beefy look and will certainly ride better than those low profile tires.

Speaking of tires, which are you considering? P-Metric, LTs, Highway, All Terrain, etc.

This truck came with 25t/70/16's.So the 275/60/17 is .1% shorter and .8 wide. One more rev per mile ..The 265/65/17 Is .8 taller and .4 wider than the stocks..In looking at hankook aventus in the 275's.If I get the 265/65 then I have more choices.Thinking about a bfg longtrails..IF I could for the 285/60/17 then id get toyo's.Obviously theyre the only ones that make that size now.Bad thing is,no one will mount diff tires to see if they fit.

It does, its not nearly as low as mine..I sure like the 285's but I'm thinking they will hiy the fender under hard turns or bumps.

Well i answered my own question, lol.I went with 265/65/17.They look perfect to me.I was gonna go 275/60/17 but the 30" tire just looked to small..These are 30.6"
