Well it's obvious now what's wrong with the aftermarket harnesses. That gauge wiring is a whole lot bigger for the power wire and from the fans. I'm sure the smaller wire is building up resistance which leads to heat..ugh..where did u get that harness? It looks new.

I got it from @ScottyBoy he finds them at junkyards cleans them up, puts new loom on and sells them, they look brand new when he's done, and it's close to the same price as the aftermarket harness

Post some pics of that crispy interior. How'd it happen?

Certainly! according to the old timer that i bought it from, his 19yr old grand son drove the burb over and parked it blocking access to the back of their property. He asked him to move the truck and this was the most insulting thing the teen had ever heard so in defiance he set the interior on fire.

heres some progress pics i started stripping stuff off the front last night this was before i went in for dinner. After i came back out i got about 30 minutes and it started to rain so i had to hurriedly clean up and run in.

got the rad out, trans cooler lines disconnected, a lot of the hoses off, clutch fan off etc. hoping to go ham on it tonight and get the rest of it out and maybe the motor out.

Apparently that kid never had his ass beat by his parents and it is quite apparent that he needs a good ol fashioned ass whoopin’ right now. :2cents:

Gave her another wash. Heading to Maine tomorrow. I take pride in having a clean ride cruising down the highway.

I started the interior led light change out. I read the reviews only after they were delivered today, i hope they last for a xouple months but at 5 bucks for 10 i won't hold my breath. At least the other two sets i have coming have better review. I will be buying led headlights soon.
