I seem to have a coolant leak.

I saw it dripping from near the firewall. Was hoping it was the heater core connector. I stuffed a paper towel under both connections. Its dripping on the ground, but the towel is dry. I crawled under and it's dripping from the back of the skid plate. So the leak could be anywhere and rolling down the plate. FML.

Ill have to remove the plate once things cool down and try again.

I can barely see the skid under the serpentine belt and it looks dry there.

Take that skid plate off and grab a flashlight. The skid plate is easily removed, it's just four 15mm bolts holding it on. Get a good look at the bottom of the water pump. It's very common for the water pump to start leaking from the "weep hole" which is a small hole on the bottom of the water pump. Once the water pump seal goes bad, coolant gets past that seal and starts leaking out of that weep hole.
If it's not the water pump, look closely at all the hoses on the passenger side and see if it's leaking from one of those hoses. It's gotta be either a hose or the water pump if it's in that area.

So there's nothing under the motor like a freeze plug or something?

Sometimes the heater hose connectors fail just enough to allow fluid to leak but not drip down——the fluid will instead run along the metal tubing or rubber hose until dripping off the lowest point.

They would be on the side of the block.
Put your hand under the water pump and see if its wet. (Engine off, of course)

Mine was doing the same thing. Took the the skid plate off so I could get a good look and it was the water pump leaking and I also had a leak at the T where it enters the firewall and separates for the rear heat.

I don't have rear heat.
I guess i better start watching water pump replacement videos on YouTube.

Going out of town this weekend, so i won't be able to check until Monday.

It's VERY rare to hear about freeze plugs corroding and leaking on these LS engines. The hoses and the water pump is the likely source of the leak, so I suggest you check those first. If possible, check with the engine hot or even with the engine running if you have trouble finding the leak. I searched high and low trying to find the leak on my truck for over 6 months before I finally looked under the truck IMMEDIATELY after taking a long drive, and that's when I saw that my water pump was indeed leaking from the weep hole.
