Let me ask you this. When you remove the TB and remove the TPS sensor there are 3 gears in there. One is on the throttle drive motor thing, looks tiny like a pinion gear. Then there is a big white middle gear. Then a smaller black gear attached to the butterfly shaft. During my cleaning process the middle white gear popped out. Is it possible those gears are not synced? Is it possible as while I was holding the butterfly open by hand and that white gear popped out that the drive motor pinion gear moved out of its normal position? Does that drive gear have a self centering position? I also looked at the white gear when re-assembling and noticed some teeth were slightly worn so I clocked it to drive on the less worn teeth.

Honestly, don’t know. It may be possible but if you turned it to the side with the better teeth that means, to me, that you think it looked the same all they way around so i would say no on the self centering.....it shouldn’t be an issue..I really think you just need to drive it now... sorry i cant hep more....stupid upstate NY italian here... with a stock tahoe....

No thoughts on my comment above about the gears?

I cleaned the throttle body on my '07 Denali last year and even after the initial relearn procedure, it took at least another 1000 miles of driving before it was completely back to normal. Before that, it would idle itself up to about 30mph from a stop in gear and it would feel like you were giving some gas when slowing to a stop.
