I just started noticing a lurch with mine after my new transmission. With my beast it's a pretty good one. Weird, I never heard of this before but maybe I won't worry as much now. And I never use my e-brake either but if it worked I might once in awhile, like when parking on a slope.

nice job!

when you say that "lurch". you mean when you start the truck it almost seems like it is in drive because it kinda jumps forward? i thoughti was the only one with that problem haha. freaks me out everytime
No the lurch I’m talking about it was when I stop where I’m parking and put in park, and it still rolls slightly after letting my foot off the regular brake if I don’t set the ebrake. I hate that feeling. Like it’s gonna break the parking pin that holds it still lol. It’s not bad on my parking spot at home where it’s flat, but anything Other than flat and it moves quite a bit after putting in park and letting my foot off the brake pedal.

That’s a new one! Never heard that before! Maybe you should get that checked out! That sounds like something is wrong with your parkpin! Every once in a while mine will make a slight clunk that I can feel when I start him up after sitting over night. But not an actual roll forward. Lol.

I just sent an e-mail to Performabuilt Transmissions to see if the lurching I get sometimes is normal or something I need to be worried about so I guess we'll hear from some experts.
Frank @ Performabuilt just let me know that my lurches are quote" Hi no that is normal centrifugal drag pull nothing to be concerned with." so I'm not worried.

So weird. I’ve never experienced that on any of my vehicles. Even the couple days that I wasn’t setting my ebrake while the cable was broken it doesn’t do that on startup!
