Up early and it was cool out had a cup of ice coffee and took the switch off buffed the terminals with the dremel wire wheel put it back and still no cruise. Did notice a pointy type stalagmite on the far left open set of terminals that I knocked off with the dremel.

Anyhow have the part on hold at the local parts store 13.00bucks.

Scottyboy i understood you logic about unplugging the Switch ,but it's not an option FOr Me I Drive Above Everyone Daily And majority Of People Are Doing A Lot More Than Just Driving. I live in a high drag area surely someone will run into me if I took a chance Hahaa.

Should cool off here in 4 hrs i will drop new switch in and see what happens then.

For $13 it's worth the shot.

Well I have some good news and some bad news.

My Cruise Control still doesn't engage even after placing replacing the old switch with a new switch. Good news is, I have a new switch going forward.

Any further suggestions?

Hm. Bummer. Is there anything plugged into your trailer connection in the back?

Perhaps one of the wires in the steering column are damaged? I recall some threads about some orange wire that frequently breaks because it rubs as the wheel turns. I cannot, however , recall if that orange wire had to do with cruise control or some other function.

Is this orange wire in the compartment below the steering wheel or under the dash do you recall?

So the amber light on the cruise module on the steering wheel is lit, but the cruise will not engage when the button is pressed, right?

I remember now... that orange wire is on the passenger side of the steering column itself, but it was for the tow/haul mode, not for cruise..Sorry, it took me a couple to find my memory.

When I turn on the cruise the only light that comes on is the green cruise light in the instrument cluster panel.. Don't recall seeing a amber light on a cruise module, switch is on the column built in with turn signals.

So the amber light on the cruise module on the steering wheel is lit, but the cruise will not engage when the button is pressed, right?
