Sorry to ask yet another Bose amp question but I am way over budget and just cannot throw money at this anymore. i have read about 200 threads but cannot seem to find the answer so here we go.

04 GMC Yukon. Bose speaker and amp that under cup holders, No On Star. Steering wheel controls.

Long story short I got double din head unit to replace the factory unit that was all working great, I just need a backup camera and nav for what we are using the truck for now.

I order the wrong le-cheapo adapter form amazon for $8, got the head unit out and discovered this. So I order the Metra LC-GMRC-01 GM Class 2 Data Bus Interface which I thought will work, but I got no sound, that’s when I discover I have the Amp under the cup holders. My guess is this interface is not turning on the amp as the packet says for non amp or amp bypass

I’m now broke with a truck in parts and a mad wife so could use any help I can get.

What I need is to know the pin out at the amp that will turn it on. I assume I need to hit it with a +12v in one of the wires, does anyone know what one? It’s a silver amp with 2 connections. (see photos)

My last resort is can someone tell me what harness/adapter I really need to get? I worry its the PAC RadioPRO5 RP5‑GM11 Car Audio Replacement Interface which is what I paid for the head unit! Seems trying to do it on a budget has not worked out.

Anything you can do to help would be great, but short term if anyone knows the wire I need to make hot to get the factory amp to turn on that would get me out of the dog house this weekend.

Thanks!!!
Dave

So its the pink (ish) wire at the head unit plug that when hit with +12v turns on the amp. i did a redneck fix and just made a jumper cable from amp on power up wire on the head unit to the pink wire in the factory harness. Seems to work pretty well by i am still going to order the RP5-GM11 so i can use the steering wheel controls. I'll let you know how it works out.

is there a plug connection option on your Metra harness that's for amp and one for non amp? My PAC has that and I had it plugged into the wrong one even though it sounded like I had it plugged in to the right one on how they word it. I switched mine and it worked since with the wrong plug in I did not get any sound like you.
