What should I do to lift my 1996 tahoe 4dr 4x4?

I have a 1996 tahoe with air shocks in the rear and just absorbers in the front, I want to lift it to stuff 33" tires under it, but I honestly don't have an idea of how to go about it with out blowing a **** ton of money into a lift..

You can put 285/75/16's or 285/70/17's (both 32.8") on your stock wheels, either will fit with no more than a slight crank of your torsion bars. Check on YouTube for video's. Probably won't cost you a dime, other than getting it realigned.

While I was debating on what tires and wheels to get I couldn't find a set of wheels that matched stock wheel specs that I liked. And 16 inch tires where kind of expensive. While trying to find a set that would settle in my budget I was replacing front break pads when a buddy of mine stopped by. He had an old 6 lug 15 inch wagon wheel in the back of his truck and I remarked about how I wish I had 15's because they where cheaper and easier to find tires for, while I had the truck up in the air and the front tire off I said to hell with it and took the old white rusty wagon wheel on my tahoe. To my surprise... it fit!!!! This was contrary to what I have read while surfing the internet. So I measured the back spacing, it was 4.25 BACKSPACE not offset the factory wheels where close to 5.75 I had a good quarter inch clearance on the caliper. So I ordered 33x12.50x15 Nanking MudStars for $588 delivers to my door from eBay and then ordered 15x8 chrome wagon wheels from eBay for I think $73 bucks a piece delivers to my door. And I bought a kit with chrome valvestems and those splined lug Nuts and then a set of 4.25 OD chrome centercaps from Amazon. I had to crank about an 1 1/2 inch on the tortion bars and I had a completely different looking truck.... and I liked it. The tires now stick out about 1 1/2 to 2 inches past the front fender and about 3/4 on the back...... let me know what y'all think.

Looks real good, so no lift needed huh thats kinda wat im looking into but i still wanna lift it but is 6in too high for a set of those tires. I aint no pro but i read about how you gotta the center of gravity in mind
