I pulled the rear driverside door panel off to investigate why my rear speakers are not working. I pulled the speaker out and looked at the connectors. They looked a dull grey color, but otherwise still intact. I checked the wires with a different speaker. Nothing, so I am sure that the speakers are good. I will pull the radio out when I have that panel apart to do the USB mod and bezel replacement. Is the connector bad since it has that greyish color? I'd assume that it would still make some sort of connection and I would at least get some kind of crackle out of the test speaker? What reading, if any, should I expect if I use my volt meter on the speaker output on the radio when I check it for voltage?
I would really like to keep it stock but I am thinking that I may have to go all aftermarket and run new wires if the leads out of the radio work.
Any ideas?

this may sound stupid but hook that speaker up to your house stereo to test it, or take the other door panel off and switch them, and see what happens. just my 2cents
Well I figured since I did't get anything out of my test speaker, that the original must still be good.

EDIT: The other side doesn't work either. All I have is the front doors and A pillar tweets. I know that if you activate the rear radio controls that it is supposed to mute the rear speakers but I have that turned off. I plugged earphones into the jacks and I get sound from there when it is activated.
