Looking at purchasing a Yukon...can't swing the extra $10k from a Denali and have seen several SLTs with the Premium Package that look pretty good. But it seems that most dealers stay away from ordering them that way...they order the SLEs, bare SLTs, and then the Denalis. A base SLT with the premium package (only) would sticker right at $62k.

The premium package simply gets you 22" wheels, different grille, bodyside molding, and exhaust tip....the wheels and grille are actually installed already at the dealer...

was thinking about just getting a SLT and then having the dealer install the four items..anybody gone this route...and if so -- how much did it cost?

figured I'd check what others may have paid before approaching the dealer...

How much would it be to purchase the parts separately and install yourself?

you'd save more by buying the necessary items and installing yourself. may not save all that much to order items and have dealer install them. Might as well just order what you want from the start at that point IMO

ballpark prices from the local dealer...grille - $700, molding - $200, tip $100, and 22s - $3400 ....also said 22s are pretty hard to order these days...I'd let dealer do the molding (for warranty purposes) and then probably the grille and tip myself...the 22s are the issue. maybe not such a good idea---package price is right at $3100 from the factory

Factory 22s are easy to come by and for a fraction of the price you're being quoted.

Very small savings if any and no warranty. I looked and ended up buying the SLT with the Premium Package and very happy with it. Bonus mine came with the 8" DIC which is perfection and wouldn't want it without it now that I've had it.

Here is end of the sticker. I had GMS, lease loyalty cash, $1000 dealer cash and $2000 rebate so I drove away extremely happy and 3/36 bumper to bumper on everything.

Warranty on what? The wheels would be the only thing I could see needing warranty.

....a, well everything. Grill was replace on my friends SLT, as it had a clip break.....to say only a wheel needs warranty is a bit short sighted as almost anything can need repair - it's just when you are gambling on.
