I have an Alpine head unit I recently installed in my 06 Tahoe Z71 with Bose. I used the PAC wiring harness and connected as directed. For playing a DVD in the RSE is there a way that the people in the rear seats can listen to the DVD with head phones and then I can listen to music off my iPod? I've tried playing around with it some but when I switch to my iPod there's no sound on the head phones from the DVD.

From my understanding, just turning on the RSE should make the switch.

On the stick unit. Hit the CD button twice and you will see the rse controls. The options are mute all, mute front mute rear.

So then when "mute front" is selected, the DVD will only play through the rear speakers/head phones?

I still have the stock one so maybe I'll throw it back in and switch the settings

Yes that is correct. You'll probably lose that setting once power cycles

Depends on what aftermarket head unit you got. It has to have dual zone video control. I'm saving up for the X009-GM2 for the '12 Tahoe I recently got. For the 04 burb I just did the Bose Lux mod and dropped in the factory navagation headunit so I could keep the RSE controls.

I've got an Alpine INE-W927HD. I'm not sure it has the dual zone video control
