Thanks!! I tried a de coder site from google but not luck. Do I have a good rear end in my burb then? I see people talking about the g80 alot so im guessing i have the better rear end and gears for the k1500 right?

The 3.73 is my personal favorite. I have 3.42 now, and it's kind of a dog. There are different opinions about the G80. I like it (and yes, I've grenaded one in the past). It does depend on how you drive it. If you're not nuts with it, it does its job well imo. Here's a cool video about how it works :

That was a good video!! Nice to knowninhave a factory locker in the rear. If i was to upgrade this would i just put in a detroit? Im not planning any hard wheeling trips but i never know when ill end up visiting wyoming during the winter and end up going to pull someone out thats stuck. But its mostly in town daily driver. Im evening running passenger tires on it just cause i havent the need for the l/t tires. But the wife wants it lifted with nice wheels and tires so once the paint and body work are done then that will come.
