My rear hatch won't unlock. I can't open the rear window or the whole hatch. You can hear the actuator but it still won't unlock. Any suggestions how to get it open?

See if this sounds like your problem:
Can't open liftgate. Button won't open glass. Insert key and turn to unlock and then I can open glass.

Problem:
Little plastic mechanism that turns everything has broken. Remove the panel on the liftgate and you'll see it right in the center. Only piece of plastic on the whole thing. (poor engineering). Unfortunately they don't sell that little piece and you have to buy the whole thing for $200. I've fixed mine several times. Can't find anything that will hold it permanently.

Do you have a keyhole in your hatch? If not, you'll have to climb in thru the backseat and remove the platic panel off the hatch to see inside of there.

Rico, does your rear door have a strap on the inside? There is a screw concealed behind the strap. I didn't remove mine, but there might be a hidden door release under that strap.
