After owning this 07 Tahoe for a while I am wanting more and more out of it but don't want to put the money or work into trying to get it to the point I would like. Also now that this truck will be the wifes daily she is not so much into all the stuff I have done to it or plan on doing to it. She likes things basically stock. Not saying that I will not be doing some stuff to the next one but nothing close to what I have done or planed for the 07. Looking back I wish I would have done my research a lil more anyways on these trucks before I purchased this one but with how things are right now I have an opportunity to try and sell mine and get into another Tahoe that is newer and has some if not all the stock preferences I want. That's one question is how would I look a good price for mine to sell. Trade in I could make some money on it right now but no more than a couple thousand.

Looking at a few Tahoes I found a couple that have caught my eye and would work with my budget and what I want in the truck.

I want to stay at 2011+ mainly due the 6speed trans. (Correct me if I'm wrong in the year they started that option)

Has to be 4WD

I found a Z71 with basically everything I want but it said it was 2WD. I thought all Z71s were 4WD?

Other few things I am wanting in it:
- 3rd row seating (at least the brackets I will just keep my seats when I sell it in case I get another Tahoe that doesn't have them, necessity)
- auto lift hatch
- really want the captains seats but not a necessity, If I cant find one with them I will just go along with what I planned with my current Tahoe and trade or find some to throw into it.
- parking assist (wife is small and has trouble parking this, even thought its on the small side of the SUV size, at least for me)
- gotta be leather, do all LTs come with leather?

I say these things only for the interest in conversation about them and my concerns in what kinds of options are available in the different models that there are of these trucks.

I will be looking at trying to do this within the next few months. Got parts waiting for me to install and will have to remove a few things from my current Tahoe to either put back on the other Tahoe or into another vehicle. Things like running boards, cd player, sub, just little things like that.

Thanks for any info, its greatly appreciated.

09+ has 6 speed trans and also has A/C seats as an option.

Also Z71 = Shocks and skid plates basically, has nothing to do with the drive train.

Thanks for the reply, never knew that about the Z71s. I knew they had the skid plates and suspension but thought it was only for 4WD, learn something new everyday.

The more and more I look for one I like I keep going to the 15+ models and am like damn those are doable and really nice. Even their LS models are pretty jacked for the most part. May have to hold off another 6 months or so and try and get into one of those. We will see.

I don't care for the looks of the 15+, seems like a box on wheels, but I am sure it will grow on me like 07-14's did.... lol

Gotta agree with kbus on this one. Just my opinion, but man the 15+'s are ugly. I ended up with a '14 Yukon Denali and haven't looked back. More than ample power, AC seats, touch screen nav, heated rear seats with rear DVD package. So nice.

The thing that really bothers me about the 15's + is that pointy thing at the sides of the headlights, it reminds me of a shark fin. The dash looks nice, but it looks like they skimped on the 3rd row cushions. The 'new' 5.3 feels ok, but GM killed any fun in it with all the torque management. I love my 09 Tahoe, I just got it 2 weeks ago coming from an 05 Tahoe. I know I'll keep this one till the wheels fall off.

If you decide you want a 2015 do not get a early 2015 as they had a lot of issues..You will see that in the 2015 plus section..It would have to be a 2015i or higher.

I would not buy any vehicle without service records as I have seen people running the factory fill oil till 12K miles and changing the oil after that even longer..Just IMHO.

When the 2015 Tahoe/Suburban first came out I hated the look..But after seeing so many on the road it grew on me..I rented a few 2015 plus Tahoe and Suburban before buying one for long trips..They all had over 40K or more miles on them as they are the most sought after rental vehicles..After that I knew I wanted one.

@mikeyss At first i thought the same thing about the headlights. More and more I looked a them they grew on me. The 15+ yuks are looking pretty nice as well. The main things that get me about the 15+ models are the new stuff that comes with them.

@Miami-Dade Thanks for the info on the first models 15+ ill for sure keep that in mind while I look for what i want.

Found a good deal on a 12' Esky ESV 125K miles butttt looking at the car fax it had a wreck back in 14'. Not sure if I want to even look more into it or not at this point. I may give the dealership that did the work a call and see if they have the work order on it still. Not sure how long they keep those things or if they would even give me any info if they did have it.
