My transfer case housing has oil splattered all over it and the output seal appears to be leaking. There is never any oil on the ground though where I park it so it must be small. I looked up this procedure and it looks pretty simple. Just remove the bolts at the rear end, drop the drive line, pull out the shaft, and pop the seal out and replace it. Is that about it? I saw some videos where they put Lock tite on it. Is that necessary? Any other tips let me know. This is for a 2000 Tahoe. Thank you.
