Well, Friday night cruising through the local ads on the FB marketplace, came across some 22" gloss black TBSS wheels with tires. Ended up picking them up Saturday afternoon and test fit them today since I had a feeling the 305/40r22s were going to rub, and they did, so will be going to a 285/45. But on the plus side of test fitting them, come to find out, the guy left the wheel sensors in the wheels and they still work. I am going to have the wheels re-powedercoated gloss black as they have a few scuff marks here and there that in the long run will bug me.

And since, I haven't made enough posts to post an ad in the classifieds, I will share here.

So I have the tires that came off the wheels I just got, 305/40r22 Yokohama Parada Spec-X. I am unsure on mileage but they still have alot of tread left. And I also have the OEM steps that came off of this thing with the OEM mounting hardware. So if anyone in the DFW area are interested shoot me a message.

Well, while I was waiting to find time to drop the wheels off, I ordered up a Volant intake and got it installed. Got the wheels back a week ago, and had the tires mounted this past Saturday. Pulled the old wheels/tires off one at a time, painted the rotor hats and scrubbed the inner fenders, just to make sure everything looked amazing when the new wheels and tires went on. And I couldn't be happier with the end result.

Truck is looking good! The 305s rubbed? Where at? I'm running that size tire and looking at the same drop.

Honestly, I only test fit the fronts when I had them. And I only tried backing out of my driveway and as soon as I cranked the wheel, it was rubbing on the rear of the wheel well. Even with the 285s, there is one tiny little spot in the passenger rear that rubs around left turns, its an easy fix though, and I can only imagine how bad the 30s would have rubbed.

And not sure what backspacing/offset you plan on running, so that will play into it as well.

Ah, gotcha. Thanks! I guess I'll have to look out for that and see what modification I can make.

Well been putting off shocks since I bought the Yukon a year ago,(mainly because this thing rarely gets driven so I forget about ordering them) but with another road trip back to CA in a few weeks, I wanted to get them handled finally. Ordered up some Bilsteins and got the rears installed last night and went for a test drive, which then turned into a quick photo-op. Will tackle the fronts this weekend....

Well executed, your vision has become a reality. Good looking truck, even without running boards! Let us know your fuel mileage compared to last time when you get back if you don't mind.
