Got the dreaded warning a few days ago. Tried to get into the dealer which sold the truck, 12 days to make an appointment. Called another dealer about 30 minutes away, could have got in the next day. Will take it in on Monday.
What all does the camera provide input for? The rain sense wipers still work, lane departure does not work, auto hi beams does not work. I tried turning on and off the lane departure but it gives the warning service camera.
Does the camera work the Front Collision Avoidance safety feature as well? I noticed with adaptive cruise on it did not have braking when a vehicle stopped in front of me.

I'm gonna be mean here, but quite frankly maybe you need to drive the car. Not the camera! sorry just my 2 cents. oh it's not you fault it' the imagineers in Detroit!
I can drive without the camera not a problem, been doing it for many years. The point of the matter is, I paid for a working vehicle which came with this SAFETY device and it is not working. This statement is the same as saying you live in TX and your AC at your $100,000 home doesn't work so quite frankly you need to learn to have the windows open.

Yea i'm with you bro, you paid for it and you want it to work. I guess my point is why do they have to make car too easy to drive, just so you can sit there and play on your smartphone. the hell with the DVD players let little johnny look out the frickin window. and what about a fold up road map that your wife had between her legs. shit before you know it you'll have self driving cars, maybe they will do away with windows, heck glass cost money. better yet stay home and wacth a google video of where you want to go, just think of the energy savings!!! ok i'm done for now.

P.S Hope you get it fixed

P.S.S looking at your sig, bet you wish you still had that 96 Impala , that was a great car.

Loved the Impala, actually the SS was a better car. If they had the 8 speed instead of the 6 speed I would have bought the auto and still have it. I had to get an auto, the stick was killing my left knee.
The dealer found a fault on the camera module which had to have an update. I wonder who writes GM's code, Microsoft? Waiting for the blue screen of death one day.
Out of all the items to not work the two which concerned me were the Front Collision Alert and the Auto Headlights. You get used to the headlights when driving to work on the country roads at 4 AM. The FCA was an added safety net.

That is quite the impressive list of past rides. I'm ******* after a 2017 SS M6 myself, but the budget just isn't there...

The SS is a great car, untouched and unmolested by GM. Holden did an outstanding job putting the car together. It would have been nice to be a little sportier looking but the sleeper look took a lot of people by surprise.
