Up under the front dashpanel toeards bottom of windshield by the automatic headlight sensor
Thanks. Does that work ok? The instructions state -
"Mount the GPS and Sat Radio antenna on the
EXTERIOR of the Vehicle"

Where exactly is the factory location for the GPS antenna? I just got the CS-GM1210-CA and will be installing it as soon as I receive the Rostra 300-EYEBALL Universal Multi-Axis Flat-Mount CMOS Color Camera. My Tahoe doesn't have the factory NAV unit, so I have nothing to go by.

I see Galante already answered but yes it works beautifully there.... The factory GPS antenna is mounted on a little metal plate that snaps into a little clip... The new antenna will magnetically attach to the metal plate and work great.

Thanks to both of you. This helps a lot. The instructions are less than adequate. I like to make sure I'm as prepared as possible before tackling any job.

I installed an aftermarket GPS antenna in the factory location when I switched to an OEM touchscreen. I trimmed a piece of scrap metal plate to fit tightly in the factory spot, then stuck the antenna to it.

Here is a video that shows the install...

OK. So I installed the Rosen unit today. It was, in fact, plug-n-play. Once I sorted out the extra wire harnesses and picked the ones I needed, installation was a breeze. Thanks to the video above, I was able to mount the GPS antenna, and it works extremely well under the dash panel. I installed the external mic for the bluetooth, and I'm not sure if I'll keep it, as the OEM works just fine. I mounted the Rostra 300-EYEBALL Camera in between the license plate lights. It looks nice there, and is very unobtrusive. I haven't wired it yet because a) the instructions aren't very clear, and b) I need mor cable to reach the Rosen unit in the dash.
I do have a question about wiring the camera. The yellow RCA jack is obvious and I have the harness for it to plug into the Rosen. It came with another wire that had red and black wires hanging out of it. I'm guessing that's for the power. Right now I have that hooked into my reverse lights to be powered when in reverse. After watching ADC Mobile's video again, it sounds as if this could be wired to a switched 12V source. There's a red wire at both ends of the RCA cable. Should that be attached to the reverse lights? And what does it attach to at the other end? I can't find any instructions for camera wiring and installation.

The red wire that runs with the RCA is for powering the camera from a triggered source other than the reverse lights, such as an output from the head unit, so that it can be turned on other times and not only when in reverse. This is so you can check on a trailer while pulling it or just see who/what's coming up behind you.

Thanks iamdub, I'm not sure where there is an output to connect to. I have a whole slew of harnesses that came with the head unit, but none seem to allow for the triggered output you call for. I'm going to move the leads that I connected to the reverse lights to a power outlet in the rear of the Tahoe. If I run this other red wire to the reverse lights will this achieve the same thing you mentioned? This would give the camera constant power, and trigger the camera when in reverse. Boy, could they make this anymore ambiguous?
