Belltech, Eibach, Hellwig---why should I run their sway bar?

I'd do the drop and end links. Then swaybars later.

Ahh you really shot my plan. I was hoping to avoid replacing shocks until I knew for sure they were bad. I'm at 138k miles but dont know the history of the suspension. Doesnt seem bad but this my first truck. I dont know what is normal and what is considered worn...

I found my 2008 Tahoe almost a year ago with 126k miles on the clock. One of the first things I did was replace the shocks, as the existing ones appeared to be original. The ride was decent with the original shocks but was noticeably more controlled & smooth yet more responsive with the new.

You don't need new shocks to lower it.

Right but doesnt a lowered car speed up the death of OEM shocks? I was really trying to go sway bar route with hopes that shocks had a little life left but I truly dont know and the feedback I'm getting is even if they were fine, aftermarket shocks will perform better and this type of upgrade would be better than sway bar upgrade (kind of have to choose 1)

It shouldn't speed up the rate of wear as long as you lower it right and keep the geometry the same- spindles in the front and springs / shock extenders in the rear. It you plan on lowering it I'd do that first then do shocks next then swaybars/endlinks after.

I'm doing a 2/3-4 drop. I want to replace all shocks and all springs as I'm at 149k miles and everything is original... What do you suggest?

I was gonna get this: NORCAL SS 07 UP 2/3-4 Lowering/Cornering Package for Autoride GM SUV's

I don't mind spending a little extra for Hotchkis or Eibach sway bars if they are better. Hellwig are $450 or so, Hotchkis $560 (w/ links F & R) & Eibach are $500 (with no links?) Might need new links anyways with the drop?

I was also consider this as I am used to trucks and cars that can take corners/round-abouts: 07+ Spohn Complete Rear Bar Package

Should I be going a different route? I don't want too aggressive of a drop, 2/3-4 is good for me being in Michigan. I might tow my 67 Camaro once a year but other than that, I want a smooth nice handling truck with 600hp ;-)

Yes mine has been doing it to, kinda sounds like a shock gone bad and happens most when turning slowly on bumpy surface ?

yes same, took it back to check if they forgot something loose but that wasn't the case. didn't have time to go back and look for further issues, read somewhere that the crossmember could be loose, have go check that.
