I have a 2004 Yukon XL with Bose stereo with XM radio and I'm wanting to upgrade to back up camera and hands-free Bluetooth. Is there any good selections out there that won't break the bank and what all will I need for it to work

I have a clarion nx405 unit in my 2006 and it's fantastic. It came bundled with a backup cam. Already has built in Bluetooth, nav, and I ordered the satellite module. Works quite well.

BassGas,

Hello. I installed the following on my 2001 Yukon XL a few years ago and am very happy the setup. In fact, I think it saved $70k and helped me retain a 2500 towing vehicle<g>. Good luck!

($850) Voyager backup Camera and Monitor: (Rear backup camera with a 7 inch monitor: input for 3 cameras and navigation system)

($460) Kenwood DDX372BT Radio (Interface for iPod, Tuner, Telephone, USB, CD, Pandora, Bluetooth,
SiriusXM, new dash bezel and arching camera mount similar to class A motorhomes. The mic works great with the nicely insulated and quiet cabin area of the Yukon. Friend don't realize I am in a truck while on the phone.

On a side note...(off topic)
The camera enabled discrete stealthy car-camping in high end hotel parking lots since I was able to convert the cargo area into a van-like cabin area. (I installed very dark window tint, sun reflectors and nice curtains on the interior.) Every night I can avoid the expense of a hotel is more money in the tank... and another mile down the road. The intangible benefit is the freedom to drive past hotels and campsites and to continue touring until I wish to call it a day. Also, it is great for those with children and elderly guests who wish to nap while on a long tour. I have wrap-around curtains between the first and second row of seats. No sunlight gets in and no aux lights gets out.

bassgas: In 2013, I upgraded my speakers with the following. After careful consideration, I decide to retain the stock amps. It was all straight forward and I am very pleased with the result. I think the stock amps are more than enough for my needs.

Kicker 8” Subwoofer 400Watts, 2 Ohm, CWRT82: $129
Kicker 6.5” Speakers 75 Watts RMS, KS65.2: $89
Kicker 6.5” Speakers 195 Watts, KS65: $119
Memphis 2.5" Speakers: $65
